This page explains how to delete your MinFangst account and the data that belongs to it. MinFangst is a personal, private fishing logbook, and you are in full control of your own information at all times.
1. How to delete your account in the app
The simplest way to delete the account is directly in the app:
- Open MinFangst and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
2. What gets deleted
When you delete the account, your account and all your logbook data are removed permanently. That includes, among other things:
- Account details: username, email address and password hash.
- Fishing sessions and catches, including notes and coordinates.
- Photos you have attached to catches.
- Your species register and your own saved spots.
- Friendships, friend requests and your profile.
- The hearts you have given and received, your blocks, your poll answers and your notification log.
None of this data is kept after deletion.
3. Deletion without access to the app
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by sending an email from your registered address to kontakt@minfangst.no with the subject «Delete account». We will confirm your identity and delete the account within 30 days.
4. Retention
Active data is deleted from the production systems immediately. Any routine backups that might contain your data are overwritten within a maximum of 30 days. We never sell information about you and show no advertising.
